Tuesday, June 25, 2019Michael’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/awake-no3-2018-nov-dec/

Wednesday, June 19, 2019Uncle Mike, You have always been an inspiration to me with your joyful demeanor and enduring optimism...your bear hugs and roaring laughter...your ability to listen to someone with such keen interest no matter what the subject and make them feel like they were the only one in the world that mattered to you at that moment. You were the first of my relatives to meet John. It was up in Pawling when I brought him home to meet my parents. You were also the first one for John to cut in when you and Tante Resl were dancing at the Oktoberfest in 1998. What fun we had! You were like a dad for me when after my dad passed and like a grandfather to my kids. You were the first to call me when the World Trade Center was attacked to make sure I was ok. I am grateful for the many laughs, dinners, Oktoberfests, family tree discussions, stories, and get togethers through the years. I am also forever grateful that you came to visit on Memorial Day, just 24 days ago. We laughed until our sides ached. Had I known that your hug and kiss goodbye would be the last one....I miss you and it hurts that you were taken so quickly and unexpectedly. But I am glad you did not have to suffer. I love you very much..we all do. Thank you for being you, Uncle Mike. You were a blessing in my life and in my family's life. See you again someday. Auf Wiedersehen! Christine, John, Katie & William Rosa
